The Civic from Honda has is the second continuous run care from the Japanese maker. The Honda Civic was updated in 1990 and after several changes spanning generations is now designed larger and more upscale.

Current Civic Facelift

During 2009, the Honda Civic design received a slight facelift to the rear and front of the vehicle. The changes to the exterior included a grill designed like a honeycomb and also revised wheels that included additional spokes, and a bar of trim made from chrome above the area of the license plate. In place of the chrome strip normally used for the front logo for Honda vehicles has been refined with the edges designed sharper on both of the ends. Other features that have changed are the fog lights are slightly revised in the grill area to allow for a choice of Honda Civic vehicles with or without fog lights.

Audi a4

Audi A4 is also a compact executive car just like the S4 and is manufactured by Audi AG which is a Germany car manufacturer. The first A4 generation took over from the generations of the Audi that were there before. The A4 layout of the automobile contains an engine that is at the front and is oriented longitudinally with transmissions that are transaxle like and is placed at the back of the engine. The transmission of the drive is output to the wheels of the front or utilizes the Quattro 4WD system which is an Audi trademark

In the group of the Volkswagen the 1st model to feature the twenty volts engine with 1.8 lts and 5valves for each cylinder, was the Audi A4 which was produced as their supertouring race car. The Audi debuted the latest tiptronic automatic transmissions on the platform of the B5 that is based on the development of the Porsche. This transmission has a gearbox that is automatic and has a torque converter. It gives the driver a full automatic or manual operation of the gear ratios.

Since the A4 was introduced it is found in 4 generations that are usually from the B series of the Volkswagen Group of the automobile platforms. The A4 is treated by the internal numbering convention as a continuation of the lineage of the Audi 80, thus the A4 was designed as a B5 series then the B6, B7 and the latest B8.

There are other high performance vehicles that are related to the Audi A4 such as S4 & RS4 (Quattro GmbH). In the initial generation which was the A4 also known as the Typ 8D was produced by Audi in the year 1994. It was produced on a platform like that of the Group B5 of the Volkswagen that is shared between the 4th generation Passat or B5, Typ 3B. The engine is mounted on the front and is longitudinal and has a standardized drive with front wheels.

Yesterday, we brought you photos and details about a new and very Mercedes-Benz B-Class-like model from BAIC or Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Corp. Today, we have more news on the Chinese automaker as a media report citing an unnamed executive from the company claims that BAIC is working with Italian engineering and design specialist Pininfarina on a new vehicle based on the underpinning of a previous generation Saab model
.

Last year, BAIC purchased the intellectual rights for Saab's older 9-5 and certain 9-3 modelsfrom General Motors, which then still owned the Swedish firm.

"I just came back from Italy last week and have communicated with the technical staff at Pininfarina about the design proposal of the Saab models," the BAIC executive said. "Pininfarina is the most successful overseas car design company in China. BAIC has been collaborating with it on development of models based on the Saab technology and will display an all-new concept car with the Saab genes at next year's Shanghai auto show, while Pininfarina will be responsible for the contour design of the car."

We'll remind you that BAIC's subsidiary BAW (Beijing Auto Work), showed a Saab 9-3-based model called the C60 along with a larger sedan based on the 9-5 named C71 (pictured here), at the Beijing Auto Show this past April.

The unnamed BAIC exec also confirmed reports from Italian media about the company's interest in taking over Pininfarina S.p.A.

"BAIC has submitted the bid for the Italian firm for several months," he said. "The successful acquisition of Pininfarina will be very favorable for BAIC’s development of future models. But BAIC does not have to win the bid, after all, the two sides are still under the cooperation."

Other companies said to be interested in the money-losing Italian design house include Canadian-Austrian parts supplier Magna International and India's Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
